In the event the Windows Phone Developer Summit which
started yesterday (20/06), Microsoft officially announced the details of the
next mobile operating system, Windows Phone 8.
Operating system some time ago was mentioned with the
epithet of Apollo, according to a report quoted by Electronista, will debut
with a number of new devices in the autumn of this year.
Windows Phone 8 will be described with the chipset support
for multicores and a large screen resolution, 1280 x 768 pixels. Interestingly,
Windows Phone 8 will also be compatible with ekseternal storage memory via SD
card.
Support for the NFC will come through a special SIM card,
which will give the operator control over the technology and features. Nokia
Maps also be embedded in the new operating system that will include support for
offline folders.
Microsoft promised that it will implement a high level of
security, with encryption and a secure boot. For corporate users, given the
ability to deploy and restrict applications by admin on the phone, and
certainly with remote management as well.
All applications are Windows Phone 7.5 "Mango"
also confirmed it will run on Windows Phone 8.
