Google has announced a deal with Flipboard in the opening of
Google+ content to social news application on iOS and Android. This content is
supported by a special API that can write and read content on social networks.
Released from slashgear.com, the news was confirmed by Bradley Horowitz (Google+
Vice President of Product Management) at the LeWeb conference in London (20/6).
Flipboard originally launched for the iPhone and the iPad
although now available for Android exclusively in the Galaxy S III and promised
to make other Android devices.
As an application of traditional news readers in general, in
addition to pull content from RSS feeds, Flipboard also allow users to log in
to your Facebook and Twitter and share their stories with friends or that
follow. Horowitz declined to comment on how many Google+ users which is
currently active, and not yet say when the new Flipboard version will be
released.
