Hybrid device phone/tablet (phablet) are increasingly
popular since Samsung Galaxy Note the presence of which was a success, it seems
to have inspired another vendor to issue a similar device. It's like the Lenovo
recently, where it has launched a device to treat phablet 5-inch screen.
According to information reported by the sites Android
Authority, the phablet which was called the LePhone S880 has now been on sale
in the Chinese market with the official equivalent of USD345.
In general LePhone S880 comes with a specification that can
not be said to have a wow factor. In which the device is equipped by a single
processor core MediaTek with 1 GHz of speed and 5-inch touchscreen with a
resolution around 800 x 480 pixels only.
Not only that, other specifications of the device was also
fairly mundane, such as 512 MB RAM, 4 GB internal memory capacity, rear camera
5 MP and 0.3 MP front camera, GPS, microSD slot, plus a powerful 2250 mAh
battery.
Some of the positives that would raise the prestige of the
device is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) which was hailed as the device's
operating system and features dual-SIM (for WCDMA and GSM networks) the latter
is very popular in Asia. Note though somewhat resembles Galaxy phone, arguably
S880 LePhone design is not too bad with a thickness of only 9.9 mm and weighs
about 200 grams.
