Mobile devices made by Apple, such as the iPhone and the
iPad apparently threatened not be sold in the United States, following an
action that will take a trade organization in the country who will review the
findings of the judge stating that the iPhone and the iPad has violated a
patent that is now Motorola Mobility has been owned by Google. One of the worst
effects for Apple in this case is about banning the import of which a breach of
it.
As quoted by Bloomberg, reported that U.S. international trade commission has been
scheduled to issue a final decision on August 24, where it has the authority to
block devices made in Asia to enter the U.S. market.
The commission said it would review the various aspects of
all four patents Motorola Mobility in this case, including one that was found
to have infringed the patent. The institute will nevertheless consider whether
to issue a ban on imports of products found to infringe patents related to
industry standards.
According to one source said Apple infringed patents related
to the industry standard for 3G technology has been used by many mobile phones,
but Motorola Mobility argued that Apple violates its patents with the following
standards.
On the other hand Apple argues, because the Motorola
Mobility helps establish those standards, should not be allowed to block the
use of the patented invention related to the standard. Apple's argument was
echoed by the US Federal Trade Commission and operator Verizon, has submitted a
paper that supports Apple's argument, at which point the import ban should not
be imposed on those patents.
As we know according to the results of research conducted by
NPD Group, the iPhone is reported to have generated sales of up to 22 billion
USD in the last quarter for Apple, or accounted for 58% of total company
revenue. This is the best-selling smartphone in the United States with the acquisition
of 29% market share.
While the iPad according to Display Search studies, has
dominated the tablet market which stood at 72%. These devices has resulted in
purse money for 9.2 billion USD Apple prominence, or nearly 20% of total
revenues for vendor which based in Cupertino .
As a result, if in the end the U.S. International Trade
Commission, made the decision to block Apple's best-selling products in the United States
for violating the patent, of course it would be a blow to Apple. So, we wait
for its development.
