Through the new patent, Apple seems to be making the Android
device manufacturers concerned. Of the 25 patents that Apple has just granted
by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, there is a patent that seems
very likely to be used as a weapon for the Apple to attack the Android device
vendor.
Patent number 8.223.134, which is called by the source at
the site Phandroid as the "mother of all smartphone software patent"
that covers various aspects of touch-based user interface, including the
document view, camera roll, messaging, and email on mobile devices.
Bad news for Android and its hardware partners is when
viewed from its scope, the patent will likely be the weapon that could have been
used by Apple to attack Android device makers.
As known, before the presence of the iPhone, a lot of
smartphones that use the physical keypad and buttons to control various
actions, and it does not depend on a sophisticated touch-based interface.
Well, since the presence of the iPhone in 2007, many vendors
who follow the lead of Apple's smartphone, by working on a smartphone with a
user interface that uses a design similar to what is described in the patents
that Apple has just granted it.
What Apple has done with his patent, and what the reaction
from the Android device vendor if one day the patent is used to attack him., We
wait for its development.
