MeeGo Split Up with Nokia

MeeGo officially declared split up with Nokia. Head MeeGo developers Sotiris Makrygiannis declare that they share no longer share with nokia.

As we know, the team working on the Operating System that is built Intel with Nokia (MeeGo) is already working on some Nokia devices such as: N770, N800, N810, N900, N950 and N9.

This team will be switching to CloudBerryTec to develop mobile applications. While for the Nokia itself is still support for the phones that operate with MeeGo will continue to be developed.

Last year Intel also states joined the Linux Foundation and the LiMo Foundation to develop MeeGo. "Later MeeGo will change its name to Tizen," the Intel said in a statement. "We will create a Linux-based open software platform for a variety of devices." According to Intel, built with the "Strength" LiMo and MeeGo. The platform is planned to be present in the first quarter of next year. While the devices that run it expected has been circulated in mid-2012.

Therefore the others vendor may be re-released the phone with MeeGo platform. Rumored Intel and Samsung will also soon release devices that would operate with MeeGo-based OS, or with another name that is Tizen.
